Responsibilities:
Context + Challenge
Designing a digital platform for social and employment integration
Incorpora is a digital platform developed for Fundación “la Caixa”, focused on improving the management of social integration and employment support programs.
The project involved redesigning a complex platform used by multiple organizations, professionals, and entities working within social and employment inclusion networks.
The main challenge was creating an experience capable of handling large-scale information, complex workflows, and multiple user roles while maintaining a clear and accessible interface.
During the discovery phase, several key problems were identified:
- Fragmented navigation and inconsistent user flows.
- Difficulty accessing relevant information efficiently.
- Interfaces that felt visually overloaded and operationally complex.
The goal was to design a platform that felt:
Clear, efficient and human-centered,while supporting the operational complexity of a large social services ecosystem.
Process + UX Decisions
Improving usability across complex service workflows
The design strategy focused on simplifying workflows and improving clarity across the platform experience.
To reduce friction, the information architecture was reorganized into more intuitive structures, helping users navigate between tools, services, and data more efficiently.
Special attention was given to improving the usability of dashboards and management interfaces, allowing users to process large amounts of information without feeling overwhelmed.
Complex operational tasks were redesigned into clearer and more guided interaction flows, reducing cognitive load and improving efficiency across daily workflows.
The UX system was built around:
- Clarity
- Accessibility
- Consistency
Using modular components and scalable patterns to create a more cohesive product experience.
A flexible design system was also developed to ensure consistency across different modules, user roles, and future platform features.
Results + Learnings
👩💼 Administrative and bureaucratic overload
→ Automates administrative tasks, centralizes information, and allows access to everything from a single place.
📂 Scattered and hard-to-track information
→ Unifies data in real time, enabling tracking of employment pathways, work history, training, and personalized follow-ups.
📊 Lack of real-time visibility and metrics
→ Provides dashboards and real-time analytics to evaluate performance, optimize resources, and make data-driven decisions.
🤝 Difficulty coordinating with companies and institutions
→ Integrated tools for contact management, agreement tracking, and employment opportunity coordination.
